Sebastian Rudy will boost Schalke 04
The announcement of Sebastian Rudy's transfer from Bayern Munich to Schalke 04 capped off weeks of speculation and in the end, made every party to the agreement happy.
The Reasons Why
For Rudy, he was given the opportunity to train with a quality roster and also to play on a regular basis; something that Bayern's loaded midfield group would have prevented. The former Hoffenheim player and German international has a great quality to his game, but walked into an untenable situation in Bavaria, which only got worse after his advocate, Carlo Ancelotti, was sacked.
For Schalke, the squad is immediately bolstered with a steady, veteran presence that should be able to step-in on Day One and make the team better. Rudy can function best in a defensive midfield role for Die Königsblauen and perhaps provide the stability required to stifle the likes of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

Today, though, marks a new beginning for Rudy and his spot with Schalke could represent one of the more influential moves of the Bundesliga transfer window. Though Die Königsblauen already invested in Omar Mascarell as a defensive midfield option, Rudy offers more versatility to his game with a more diverse repertoire to his game. Clearly this is a winning move for Schalke.
