Bundesliga to suspend play longer
It's not the news you want, but the news you kinda knew that you were going to get. The Bundesliga has suspended play at least through April 30th. It's the smart move for the league and its players despite the financial ramifications that will surely be impacting clubs both large and small.
1 - Plays resumes at some point with a condensed season giving each team less games.
2 - The season is cancelled all together (Doomsday Scenario).
3 - Play resumes with the full schedule smashed into a shorter amount of time with no fans attending games.
Personally, give me Option #3 all day once this pandemic settles. It would be rough on the players, but how fun would it be to have important games being played multiple days per week?
We are all thirsty for something sports-related to carry us (Hell, I'm watching Jake Fenner play FIFA), but patience is key with what the world is facing right now.
